I am a web designer/developer who enjoys learning. I say designer/developer because I don't quite fit the qualification of either but I'm sort of in the middle and there really isn't much of a title or branding for that. I build websites. That seems to work. I use the Drupal content management system to build websites. I have a sense for the design of things and what I like, and with help and training that sense is growing stronger. I can parse code but can't write it very well, but like the design stuff I'm constantly learning and getting better.
I enjoy the thought that I have recently decided to give my blog a focus, a purpose. Because I am in a unique position in my field, able to eke out a living making websites but not totally proficient in any one area yet decently equipped to deal with the whole, I like to think that I have an interesting perspective of the Drupal community and I want to give back that which I have been freely given. I said before that I am not a developer. I don't write modules. I'm not a designer and don't contribute themes. Yet. But what I can do is tell people what I think and how I have gotten as far as I have. Going from total beginner to well equipped in about a year with nothing but the common sense I've been gifted with and the people around me willing to help. Thank you all for that.

I try my best to act according to one simple rule. I do not understand this life, why I am here, what my purpose is. I do know, however, that I enjoy being happy and making others happy. I like to learn and to teach others. I love seeing a person experience an "ahah!" moment and all that encompasses. If I am gifted with moments like this, all will be well.
